What I Am Reading Right Now

I stumbled upon a review about this book few weeks ago. I decided to search for a free e book or copy of it. Luckily, I found an e book for free. I started reading the e book page after page. I found myself totally engrossed with the book, such a good one indeed. To my dismay, the free e book only had the first part. I realized it was not complete at all. It was just designed to make you want to read the book itself. So,here it goes. I came to the bookstore and accidentally found this book. Perhaps, it was because my subconscious was already planning to read it, that’s why I found it. So, even if it was pretty pricey, I decided to buy it. Good thing, I had a discount of more than 100 pesos. Good buy! Right now, I am not half way yet, but I am really learning a lot of success principles and ideas. Some, I have encountered before but haven’t taken seriously. I plan to apply it religiously as much as I can. And I am positive that this will turn my life around. You won’t waste your time with this book, I promise. It’s really a revelation specially for those who are hungry for success like me.
Become A Better You
Yesterday, I was able to buy a book entitled Become a Better You, written by Joel Osteen. The principles laid there are usually based on biblical scriptures. I really liked it a
lot, because it’s looks simple and easy to understand. As of now, I am almost halfway to it, even if it’s still the first day, from the time I bought it. I’m really excited. It’s like, I don’t want to finish reading it. That’s because, I don’t want it to end. I have not internalized the important points yet, I just marked it down with my pen. After I read the entire book, I’m going to go back to it and absorbed it well. And of utmost importance is to apply it in my life. This book has been a blessing to me. I can see, and I know that it is going to totally changed my life. I know, that through my own efforts, plus the grace of God, I will be fine, and I will be able to overcome my weaknesses, and rise above them. I know that it’s possible for me to live through my full potential, reaching my dreams and my aspirations not only for myself, but for my loved ones as well.
This book serves as a follow up book of his first book which also became very popular, “Your Best Life Now”. I haven’t read that book yet, but it’s already on my list of the next books that I would like to read.
In Become a Better you, the author outlined 7 key steps that would dramatically change a person’s life, whoever he is, as long as he learns how to apply it in his daily life. These 7 key steps include: Keep pressing forward, Be Positive toward Yourself, Develop Better Relationships, Form Better Habits, Embrace the place where you are, Develop your Inner Life, Stay Passionate About life. I realized, right after I read the summary on the back cover that this is exactly what I had been looking for, so I didn’t hesitate to buy it. Joel Osteen has a lot of critics, but I don’t care about that, I still believe in him and in his eagerness to reach out to people, even to those who don’t willingly accept his message.
No Body’s Perfect

This book was specially made by Kirberger to help teens find answers to the common problems they have, such as body image issues, lack of self-esteem and lost of identity. She relates that the root cause of all these is the failure to accept one”s self. This book is perfect for teens who need enlightenment and guidance since it contains 24 steps that can be used to solve any problem and to lead a happier life. It also contains stories and poems by teens, compiled altogether so that other teens who read it can relate to it. These real life stories will help readers understand that they are not alone in their battles in life. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, but most of all, it will make you look deeper within yourself. And if you really take it by heart, at the end of the last chapter, you will surely learn how to love and accept yourself like you never did before. To be able to achieve this, you need to get to know your real self first. Not the self that you project to others just to gain their appreciation and acceptance. It is sad to say, that some people most often than not, have to wear masks in front of others. If you really want to be happy, you”ve got to free the REAL you. Remember that people will accept you not for being perfect but for being real and true to yourself. Another discovery Kirberger revealed in this book was that, worrying about what others think about us, contribute a lot to our unhappiness and dissatisfaction in life. Sometimes, we tend to do things we dont want to, just to gain the approval of others around us. We dont have to let others affect our decisions and hinder our growth in achieving our goals in life. The truth is, the perception of others about us doesnt really matter at all, for what we think about ourselves, is what really matters most.
