I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis when I last came to see the doctor last Saturday. If I had known that this frequent and difficult coughing that is persistent is not just ordinary, I should have had myself checked a little bit earlier for earlier medication. I am undergoing medication right now, and it has been so difficult to work while coughing from time to time and talking to your callers, 8 straight hours while on duty. The doctor told me that I need plenty of rest, but it seems to be impossible with the work that I have. I think, my schedule might have something to do with this illness. I wake up every 2 am, and sleep usually at 8 pm or 9 pm. So, usually I only get few hours of sleep. I will be going to the doctor again today and I’m hoping that I could get a recommendation for me to be rested for a few days so I can apply for a sick leave and get a couple days of day off from work.

Our Christmas party was held last night. It was fun, though I never liked the food. Last year, was better, there were a lot of choices and delicacies. There was even no dessert
for last night’s event. I never really enjoyed my food. Just like the tradition, we are given 1000 gift certificates plus we were all given gifts from the company. This time, they made it all the same. We all received mugs with our names and face towel. Our raffle was very grand, as in. But, I never really won, cause I’m not lucky when it comes to those stuff. We had very very big prizes.

One thing you need to cultivate if you want to be a call center agent is to know how to effectively listen. Most people think that its only about being able to speak well, that counts most in this job. But, based on experience, its not even the whole picture of it. As a call center agent you really need to effectively listen. One thing, I am struggling with and I’m sure with a lot of call center agents. As agents who know about the product and services we are offering we tend to be too informative and talkative to our callers. Talking and talking to show our competency and knowledge, and forgetting to slow down and listen to them as well. If we only listen well, we would be able to help them out better cause we can sure we are hitting the correct target and not just assume. Not listening well, could give you a lot of trouble.
It could be that you might be too preoccupied with another areas of your life, while you are at work, and that could affect your effectiveness. So, you really have to learn it. It’s something which is not impossible nor too hard to achieve, yet many of us neglect it.
Yes, being a call center is not as easy as you think. Every now and then you get bored and tired of your job that you want to quiet. And in cases like this, ellipticals are pretty helpful in diverting your attention. If you are too stressed with your job, just try to unwind and do something else.

13th month pay. It’s one of the most awaited part of the christmas season of me and my coworkers. We are so happy today, cause our 13th month pay has been given. People have been awaiting for it with excitement. Our christmas bonus has not yet been given, probably next week or so.
Many employees feel as if they are one day millionaire when its christmas. They received all these great bonuses aside from their salary and they have all the money in their hand. But, it doesn’t last long. They spend it in trivial things which do not really last. Clothings, discount furniture, make ups, accessories, gadgets and other material things which they can really live without. Last year, that’s what most did. They spend all of their 13th month and eagerly awaited for the bonus. Only to be disappointed upon finding out the bonus was very small, because the company wasn’t doing very well at that year.
I don’t wanna be like that. I want to make sure, this blessing will be used for good things. Things that will generate more money. Basically, spend it on assets than on liabilities.
Assets are good. They help us earn more money from the existing money we already have. Liabilities are no good. Material things no matter how good they are, won’t last forever. Liabilities will take money out of you, and in reality do you no good when it comes to your financial standing. So be wise, and think it over before you buy that gucci bag, or any branded item. It might just do you better if you save it.

I hate having a cough, specially because of the nature of my job. We are on call all the time, straight 8 hours. Now, imagine talking for that long period of time, and you have a cough. Geesh, that is really very very hard for me. Since, every time I will have a cough, its really a whooping cough. That’s why, I try my very best to avoid having one, but it just cannot be avoided, specially for cold times like this. I was on sick leave because of it, for 2 days, and the following 2 days were my days off. So, I was at home for a total of 4 days, the longest so far. I took my rest though it was not a complete rest, cause baby bless was also sick, so I was like running errands normally. I’m back to work, and I still have my terrible cough. It’s just so hard to be efficient. I keep on pressing mute every time I cough so my caller won’t hear it. geeshh, I wanna give up already. huhuhuhuhu. It’s my break right now, and I still have 1 and a half more hours to go. Thanks God. At least I made it this far. Hopefully, this bugging cough will just go away. Hopefully….

This is another post about my favorite lovi poe. Well, I’m not really a ver very big fan, but I like her. And you know that. I have been posting a lot about her and that shows she has my approval. This is lovi during the taping of la lola. Ever heard of that? The lead star of that show is rhian ramos and her leading man is JC de vera. I heard she plays a nice role there and that rhian has a nice acting. I’m not really sure, what’s the role of lovi there cause I don’t really watch it, since its a kapuso show, and I’m a kapamilya. Below is a picture of her and her lovey dovey as she calls him. Very sweet.

This is a photograph of our little store in our house. It was just a dream back then, and I really find it funny. Until now, I still couldn’t believe its true. But yes, its real. We have our own store now, which I have just visualized, imagined and dreamt of few months back. It was something I was really looking forward to. Do you know what I did? I just kept on thinking about day in and out. I think about all the good things it can bring, once we finally have it installed. More income, more things to do, and the joy of selling. Ever since I was a kid, I really loved to sell. I already had a businessman mentality though it was forgotten since I got so busy with academic works in high school. I kept visual images and reminders of this goal: to have our own store. I used a picture of a store as a wallpaper in the work computer I’m using. I saved, and wrote about this dream. And now, I can attest that through hard work, perseverance, faith and visualization, you can achieve whatever it is that you set your mind to. I know, it might be a small achievement for you. But, for someone like me, you really started from scratch, I consider this as an unforgettable miracle. Thanks to God. My work has been of tremendous help to our family. The great pay, great work environment, advancement opportunities, attendance bonuses, 13th month, life insurance quote, free meal, free fruit a day, vacation and sick leaves are just some of the things to look forward to when your working in a call center company, though not all of them, offer free meal and fruit a day. I am just glad for all of the blessings from God this year and onwards.

It’s been a long time since I last participated with tags. I didn’t expect to get one from a dear friend, mommy ruby.
Why? cause before she had a rant or post about her hubby, and she was hurt, in pain and too down at that time because of the bad things her hubby has shown, and I was like “mommy? when will you wake up? can’t you see, your hubby has no chance. he won’t change at all. so you better move on”.
I knew it, she was somewhat…..ohh…perhaps hurt by that comment, cause it was too blunt. But, it was my opinion at that time, because to tell you I have been following her blog, reading every bit of a posts from A to Z, I never missed any, I think. I never heard from her after that comment. But I have been continuously dropping and reading all of her posts.
Anyway, I am just happy that i got something from her, cause that means perhaps she has already forgiven me. I’m happy that her family is still complete now, and thats because of God and of her courage as a wife.

Going back to this tag here’s mine up above. Funny, err. I’m not really maarte or whatever. I don’t know how to beautify myself and all those stuff a woman usually do. I have been raised up not to be too OC when it comes to that thing. In short, I am not obssess with beauty. Though, now that I am a wife, I know I should know better and I should learn cause I have a husband and I know that it is important for them to have an attractive wife. errr…..

Here is our little baby bless at 1 year and 2 months cause this picture was taken last monh. For the past month, we have been going back and forth to the hospital for a doctor check up. Right now, she has fever, and it really scares me every time I see the silver thermometer showing a stat of 39 degree celsius. I am a bit exhausted as we just came from the clinic for another round of check up. Her temperature registered as 39 degree celsius just a while ago. But after we let her took the correct dosage of tempra at 5 ml every 4 hours at the onset of fever, I am relieved to see her temperature go down and her sweat coming out. What scared me more was her vomiting everytime we let her eat. Some of it, would even come out of her nose, causing her to cry more because of pain. These are the times that I really appreciate her being healhty for the previous months more. She has been a healthy and energetic baby until recently when the effect of her teeth coming out is taking a toll on her. Poor baby. These are also times that I realize how helpful is our healthy provider, kainos medical system to us. A tankless water heater sent by my sister from New York has also been of great help. Most of all, we know that the One who is with us amidst all of these, is the one from above who is constantly taking care of us, providing for us and loving us. We offer our thanks and praise to God despite all of these.
