The Most Caring Child

Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four-year-old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap and just sat there. When his mother asked him, what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry.”

My To Do List

I really need to get verified in paypal already, as I need the money. But, I’m having some difficulty getting verified. Paypal is rejecting my debit card from unionbank. I tried to do some research and read and read on how I could possibly get verified. I realized some points which I might have missed. When I tried to add my debit card to get verified, it would say paypal is unable to verify this card. please check if the information is correct.

I double checked everything, and I realized, I might have the wrong billing address. The address of record on my unionbank account might be different, it might still be on our previous address. I need to wait until monday, so I can go to the unionbank office in SM, since I can’t reach their customer care support, no one is answering, the line is always busy. I have read some complaints on their customer support. Nah, I just didn’t think its this hard to withdraw money from paypal. I also have to make a minimal deposit to ensure that balance reaches at least 85 pesos or something, since paypal needs the account to have $1.95 I guess, for verification purposes which will later be refunded. I don’t have money on this eon account, I rarely use it. The last time I used it was when my sister sent us some money.

Well, anyway, I do hope that these problems with getting verified will be fixed, as I really would want to be verified to be able to withdraw my money.

Men Needs Appreciation

In almost 2 years that I and Ronel have been together, I realized that I’ve made some mistakes in our relationship. Ronel is a very good man. I can see that he is responsible, faithful, loving and hardworking.
I have seen all of these, yet I failed to verbalize and to show to him how glad I am for having him as a partner. Though we encountered some difficulties and misunderstandings, our journey together has been a happy and fulfilling one. Well, I thought so. Until I stumbled through a book two days ago, entitled “Fascinating Womanhood” which reveals the secrets or principles in gaining the love and respect of any man, specifically you man, in such a way that he would be more than willing to give it. This book made me excited. I realized the simple yet trivial mistakes I made. I’m happy to know though that I can still correct them and I can still become the ideal woman my husband needs. One thing that was emphasized is the need of giving appreciative remarks to your man. Men are hungry for approval and appreciation. We woman have so many complaints on our partners. We tend to be fault finders and so we start to nag even for their small mistakes. This turns our man away from us. Who would want to be criticize all the time? That’s why men would usually turn to drugs, alcohol, gambling, work or worst to other women who could satisfy their needs. There’s always somethings good in a man, so learn to overlook some faults and focus on his good side.

Give Me A Smile

Give Me A Smile
Written by: Irish Blanca Digamon on January 12, 07
I’ve never seen you happy
I’ve never seen you laugh
Everyday I see you in that corner
And yet, all I see is a frown
I try to imagine how you would look like
If only you would paste a smile in your face
I know you have a hidden beauty
A beauty I’d like to see
I can’t guess what you’ve been through
To make you feel that way
But I assure you, oh dear
There’s more to life than sadness
Don’t ever think that your all alone
I am here for you through thick and thin
If you can’t take it anymore and no one else is around
Just look deep within, and you’ll find an inner strength
So don’t be sad, just be glad
The world is great and there’s a lot of beauty to see
Don’t waste you beauty, don’t waste you worth
So c’mon, just give me a smile…
I made this poem more than a year ago. Now, I would like to dedicate this to my friend who’s going through a tough time right now, Mommy Ruby of Pinaymommyonline

Dream Business

Now that we are saving for our goal of starting a sari-sari store business, budgetting is very important. As the woman in the family, I am the one who is responsible for this. When I was still on the my own, without a family, I never really cared much about saving. Every time I have extra money, it goes to either books, t-shirts, pocketbooks or anything that has
something to do with my passions in life. It’s not mainly for important things. But now, I learned how to value money. Every single peso in our home, is valued. Whe’ve been through tough times, and I have also figued out that the best way for us to get a better life is for us to start saving early in our family life, so we won’t be having any problems with debts or whatsoever. I’m proud to say that we don’t have a single debt, and also, we are on our way to starting our dream business. I am still learning everyday as I help my family get out of the seemingly never ending rat race. Probably, if we would have more money, I would need a budget software then to help me keep track of expenses and incoming money.

Creative Thoughts on Google’s First Page

Hi guys, I’m happy today because when I checked went to google and did some searches using creative thoughts, I was shocked to find out its already on the first page. I can’t believe it. It might be nothing for you. But to me, I’m really happy about it. Before, when my url was still on blogpot.com and I would do a search for creative thoughts, I can hardly find my site. At one point, when I got a page rank of 1, I got into the 13th page, hehehhe. Then, when my page rank went back to zero, its nowhere to be found, probably at the end already and I just got tired. But now, its already on the first page, its on the last part of the first page, but it really made me happy. My stats all went back to zero when I bought a domain, and I’m still starting to get everything back, though its pretty hard.

Speaking In Jargon Is Not Allowed

As a technical support engineer what we do is that we provide solutions for guests or callers who cannot get internet connection while staying at hotels in the US. This job is a blessing for me, since it really helps my family a lot. I don’t know what we would do, if I’m not working here. But, that’s just for now, I have a dream to be out of the rat race some day and be able to afford to stop working and just stay at home. Anyway, going back to my job, as a technical support agent speaking to somehow who is miles away from us, it is important to speak clearly and to provide clear instructions so the callers will not be confused. Something to remember, is that we are not allowed to speak in jargons. Meaning we only have to speak in layman, only terms that the callers can understand. So instead of saying CAT5e cable, we do say ethernet cable or a better description is an over sized telephone cable. We further describe it by saying its the cable connected from computer to modem if they can’t understand still. This job is not really easy, but I just have to be grateful that at least I have a job.

Remain Adaptable

In daily life, through a love of many things, it is possible to
remain adaptable. If it starts raining on the way to the beach,
you’ll enjoy going to the movies. If you are kept waiting for an
appointment, don’t get angry. Make a few calls or work on your
schedule. If you get stuck in traffic, enjoy your favorite
motivational audiotape, radio station or CD. Always have a book with
you and you will never be alone. The small stuff can’t get you down
if you are ready to substitute one good thing for another.
